Job Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Powertrain Calibration Support Intern. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the calibration process, participating in vehicle testing, and collaborating with calibration engineers to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy.



Responsibilities


  • Support in vehicle testing at customer facilities, ensuring that all testing is conducted in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with calibration engineers to prepare for vehicle tests, ensuring that all necessary tools and equipment are available and in good working order.
  • Support the analysis of vehicle measurement data, creating detailed documentation for all tests conducted.
  • Develop a strong understanding of data measurement tools and support the creation of automated scripts for executing tests, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of hardware equipment databases, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Support the running of system data checks for customer deliverables, ensuring that all data meets the required standards.
  • A valid UK driving license is a requirement for this role, as frequent travel to customer facilities will be necessary.
  • This is a 12-month internship, based at the BWTC, Coventry site, and is open to undergraduates or Masters students who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course.


Requirements


  • Studying for an undergraduate or Masters degree in a field related to mechanical or automotive engineering, with a required placement as part of the course.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink is advantageous, but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with vehicle powertrain architecture, internal combustion engines, and data analysis tools such as Power Bi and Python is also beneficial.
