We're seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our innovative Design & Development Department. This exciting opportunity involves designing and developing powertrain components, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

In this role, you will have the chance to work on cutting-edge projects, leveraging your expertise in powertrain systems and design for manufacture principles. Your contributions will play a vital role in shaping the future of automotive technology.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing powertrain components.
  • Navigating the automotive development process from concept to production.
  • Applying knowledge of design for manufacture, including material selection, machining techniques, and tolerance design.
  • Interpreting CAE and CFD analysis data to inform component design decisions.
  • Developing FMEA and design verification test plans.
  • Analysing test data to refine design approaches.
  • Prioritising tasks to meet project deadlines and collaborating effectively within a team.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering, or similar.
  • A solid understanding of vehicle/powertrain systems and components such as ICE, e-machines, hybrid systems, and battery systems.
  • Proficiency in GD&T, FMEA, DVP&R, and 8D Techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a capability to lead as needed.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel as required for the role.
  • A motivated, flexible, and committed attitude towards achieving excellence in work.
