About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a key member of our Occupational Therapy team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients to achieve their goals and maximize their independence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist occupational therapists in the delivery of patient care, including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients, families, and carers to promote independence and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of three years' experience as an occupational therapy assistant or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
