Support Worker

We are seeking Support Workers in the Kent area to join our Independent Living team, providing person-centred support to deaf and deafblind individuals with additional support needs.
About the RoleThis is a rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse group of people, using British Sign Language (BSL) or specialist communication systems like Makaton. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering one-to-one and group support, enabling individuals to develop the skills needed to live independently.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centred support to deaf and deafblind individuals with additional support needs
- Use BSL or specialist communication systems to communicate effectively
- Develop and implement individualised support plans
- Work collaboratively with the Independent Living team to achieve great outcomes
We pay the Real Living Wage, provide excellent training and development opportunities, and prioritise colleague wellbeing. Permanent roles attract life assurance benefit, generous pension, and 30 days annual leave. Sessional colleagues can choose support sessions from those offered and may develop their skills and gain valuable experience before becoming permanent.
Requirements- BSL Level 1 is essential; Level 2 is desirable
