Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our Evaluation Team at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of evaluation programmes, working closely with the Head of Programmes to deliver high-quality evaluations that inform healthcare innovation and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead mixed-method evaluation projects in a healthcare setting, including managing access to relevant datasets, identifying metrics, and deploying implementation science methodologies.
  • Develop clear programme plans and systems for tracking and reporting against these, ensuring robust financial management and accurate reporting.
  • Build a network and seek out new opportunities for collaboration and income generation, contributing to bid proposals and scoping new project opportunities.
  • Act as an expert resource to the organisation, maintaining a high level of current, evidence-based knowledge relevant to the post holder's areas of work interest.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with experience in health-related arenas.
  • Experience of working at a senior or sub-senior level in a complex organisation, with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects to completion and timescales.
  • Quantitative expertise, including managing access to relevant datasets, identifying metrics, and process evaluation.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to analyse, rationalise, and organise complex information.
  • Effective leadership, organisational, and people management skills, with excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
