The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Compliance to join our team, capitalizing on an exciting period of growth and expansion. Reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer, this role will be responsible for overseeing the operational and reporting aspects of compliance, regulatory, governance, and risk matters, ensuring that the company meets its regulatory obligations and delivers excellent customer outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the compliance function and managing SMF16 responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing the company's Compliance Monitoring Framework
  • Conducting thematic oversight to support policy management and regulatory matters, providing regular reports to management
  • Providing guidance, training, and support to colleagues to ensure they understand their compliance responsibilities
  • Managing Senior Managers & Certification Regime and data protection processes
  • Reviewing complaint responses and managing the company's Complaints Management Framework
  • Managing legal processes and executing a suite of template lending and operational documentation
  • Directing the execution of the company's Governance Framework, contributing to Board and Committee papers on regulatory compliance risk
  • Championing good customer outcomes across the company
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience working within an FCA-regulated business at a manager or head of level
  • Proven ability to evolve compliance management frameworks to suit changing business risks
  • Expertise in directing compliance monitoring in a regulated financial services environment
  • Strong reporting skills, ensuring compliance monitoring outputs are clear and concise
  • Fulfilling SMF16 responsibilities
  • FCA Consumer Duty requirements
  • Managing compliance with the FCA's Senior Managers & Certification Regime

It would be beneficial if you have experience in financial crime mitigation activities, managing complaints process compliance, and strong stakeholder management skills.
