We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Level Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our team at Paddock Geo Engineering Limited. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in geo-environmental engineering to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of contaminated land legislation and consultancy, as well as excellent technical and project management skills. They will be responsible for managing and mentoring a small team of engineers, providing technical leadership, and overseeing site contamination assessments and site investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a small team of engineers to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Carry out site contamination assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3, including scheduling contamination, waste classification, and geotechnical laboratory testing.
  • Design remediation works and validate results, ensuring that projects meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare interpretative geo-environmental reports, providing clear and concise recommendations to clients.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including project cost control, client liaison, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Carry out infiltration testing and other site investigations as required.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of HSEQ principles and practices, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, such as geo-environmental engineering, and a related Master's degree would be advantageous. They will also have a minimum of 10 years' experience in ground investigation, particularly in geo-environmental aspects, and be chartered with a relevant professional body.
