Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Geo-Environmental department. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and driving the vision for the department, managing a team of engineers and technicians, and overseeing the delivery of projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of Principal, Senior, and Graduate Engineers in the Geo-Environmental department
  • Project Management
    • Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence
  • Design and Documentation
    • Develop innovative designs and design documentation in accordance with British Standards, Eurocodes, CIRIA, BRE, and NHBC
  • Client Coordination
    • Coordinate and supervise client interactions, ensuring effective communication and project delivery
  • Business Development
    • Identify and develop business opportunities, attracting new clients and projects

Requirements

  • Education
    • Completion of a degree in a relevant engineering subject
  • Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar engineering consultancy role
  • Professional Qualifications
    • Chartered geologist, Engineer, or Scientist
  • Skills
    • Commercial awareness and ability to attract and develop business opportunities
    • Proficiency in technical design packages, including SlopeW and Holebase
    • Foundation design and recommendations, earthworks, slope stability, and contaminated land risk assessment
