About the Opportunity:

As a Pre-Birth Social Care Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of unborn children and their families. Working closely with expectant parents, you will conduct comprehensive assessments to identify potential risks and develop effective care plans to promote their safety and happiness.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a small caseload of 8-10 families, providing in-depth support and guidance
  • Conducting pre-birth assessments, considering the needs of the entire family
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach
  • Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize the child's safety and well-being

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, MSW)
  • Significant experience in child protection work, ideally within a pre-birth team
  • A strong understanding of child development, safeguarding principles, and relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals
