About the Role

The East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our Wheelchair Services team. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing technical and clinical support to our clients, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fitting of equipment, including wheelchairs and postural seating, to meet the individual needs of clients.
  • Stock management, maintenance, and repair of wheelchairs and postural seating.
  • Contact with clients, other professionals, and the general public to provide information and support.
  • Ordering equipment and supplies as required.
  • Data input and other administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the service.

Person Specification

  • Good level of literacy and English language skills.
  • Experience of client-related work, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Ability to safely move equipment and support in clinic settings.
  • GCSE or equivalent in maths and English, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Desirable: experience working with wheelchairs or medical equipment.
