Job Title: Heavy Plant Business Development Executive

Reed is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Plant Business Development Executive to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of plant and material handling and access equipment to a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to identify new business opportunities.
  • Generate and develop new business sales opportunities through effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions tailored to customer requirements, including conducting site surveys to identify equipment specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive proposals and present recommendations to customers through meetings and presentations.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and attend training courses to develop product knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Proven sales record in a similar environment, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Professional attitude and attention to detail, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop solid business arguments.
  • Effective planning and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • PC literate with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A full clean UK driver's license is required.
