About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering team at Optamor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical systems for our cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical ownership of electrical systems, including design, development, integration, and validation of electrical modules and components.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Functional Departments, technical partners, and Tier 1 suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ownership of commodity attributes such as quality, costs, timing, homologation, weight, and ensuring they are within business targets.
  • Engineering sign-off of electrical components through the development process, including DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DVP&R, Test & Validation, EMC, FuSa, and Cyber Security.
  • Representation of the Electrical Engineering team in project engineering reviews.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in automotive interior electronics and switch packs development.
  • Good understanding of the automotive new product development process, milestones, and deliverables for each phase.
  • Demonstrable experience of electrical component development and manufacture for multiple projects.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive Ethernet, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Notable experience in using various engineering development tools and collaborative platforms.
  • Honor's degree in Electrical & Electronics or similar areas, such as Electronics, Control Systems, or Automotive, with relevant experience in the field.
  • Additional professional qualifications and Project Management experience are desired.
  • Possession of a full driving license is essential.
