We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, working closely with our clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of infrastructure projects, including highways and structures, using the latest design software and industry standards.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to discuss design and technical solutions, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage and delegate work to team members, ensuring that projects are appropriately resourced and that deliverables are met.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff, fostering their development and progression within the company.
- Implement company policies and procedures, ensuring that they are adhered to across the team.
- Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and maintain existing customer relationships, promoting the company's services and achieving targeted revenues.
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of cost estimation and project management.
- Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
- Use of industry design standards, such as DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG SSG etc.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to offer solutions to challenges.
- Able to work and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Confident, articulate, collaborative, and proactive.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills and career with training support.
- Good time management and organizational skills, to efficiently manage workload.
- A good knowledge of the CDM regulations, in addition to British standards and EU regulations.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Full UK driving license and a willingness to travel across the UK to visit sites and other company offices.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK, and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
