Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide support to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a dynamic and inclusive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with ASC.
- Assist with creating and delivering activities that cater to the diverse needs of students with ASC.
- Work closely with teachers, other support staff, families, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support to students with ASC.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with students and interact with them according to their individual needs.
- Previous experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Condition or a willingness to work with ASC students.
- Good knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a passion to develop.
- Able to commit to working fixed days - full or part time.
- NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
- May have had previous experience in residential support work, care, or support working in schools.
- Team Teach, TEACCH, or Positive Handling training.
- Experience of developing independence in young people.
- Experience of supporting social and emotional development.
- Clear and valid DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
