Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Financial Services Policy Specialist to join our team at HM Treasury. About the Role: As a key member of the mortgage policy branch, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of policy initiatives, monitoring trends and developments in the mortgage market, and providing timely updates to senior officials and ministers. Your exceptional analytical skills and ability to build strong relationships will be essential in driving effective engagement with external partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and delivery of evidence-based mortgage policy.
  • Monitor and analyze key trends and developments in the mortgage market.
  • Support external partner engagement for the mortgage policy branch.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your understanding of the financial services sector and experience in policy development or analysis would be highly beneficial. We offer a competitive salary of £54,000 - £66,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave, flexible working patterns, and access to a cycle-to-work scheme.
