Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Strategy Consultant to join our team at Mercer. As a key member of our Benefits Strategy Consulting team, you will play a crucial role in delivering strategic consulting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients to implement major changes in their benefits programs.
  • Engage with key stakeholders on a wide range of employee benefits, including Health, Risk, Pensions, Lifestyle, and Culture.
  • Provide expert insight and strategic recommendations on benefits program design.
  • Work in partnership with Senior Consultants in executing strategic and management consulting projects aligned with client requirements.
  • Develop and present customized benefit program solutions to clients, taking into account their budget, employee demographics, and desired outcomes.
  • Support Senior Consultants and Team Leaders in creating content relevant for conducting strategy workshops, roundtable sessions, and thought leadership discussions with clients.
  • Collaborate and support Senior Consultants in writing benefits strategy reports, preparing sales proposals, service schedules, and attending client meetings, including pre-sales meetings.
  • Assist the Team Leader in enhancing the Benefits Strategy proposition, revenue delivery, and proactive portfolio governance.

Requirements:

  • Relevant consulting business experience with comprehensive knowledge across all employee benefits.
  • Financial and commercial acumen, including fee negotiation skills.
  • Proven consulting and relationship management skills.
  • Solid technical, product, and process knowledge.
  • Achievement and sales-oriented mind-set.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to deliver in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
