RNLI Shore Crew Job Description
We are currently seeking a Shore Crew volunteer to join our team at the RNLI Lifeboat Station in Wells-next-the-Sea. As a Shore Crew volunteer, you will play a vital role in assisting with the safe launch and recovery of our lifeboats on service and exercise, maintaining competence under our Competency Framework for the role, and contributing to the overall upkeep of the station, lifeboats, and equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have good general fitness. Additionally, you should be able to live or work within 15 minutes of the station and be between 18 and 70 years of age.

In return for your dedication and hard work, you will receive training to fulfill your volunteer role, and reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed. You will also have the opportunity to learn new skills, gain experience, and be part of an inclusive and diverse organisation that values its volunteers.

The estimated annual salary for this role is around £11,000, based on national averages for similar roles in the UK. However, please note that this is not a paid position, and your main compensation will be the satisfaction of giving back to your community and making a real difference in people's lives.
