Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Technologist to lead our product development efforts and drive innovation in the food industry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new product ideas that meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and launch new products, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead product improvement workstreams, maintaining and developing the portfolio to meet customer requirements.
  • Deliver innovative products within the constraints of the brief, linking design activity to business strategy.
  • Support key initiatives such as cost optimization, regulatory changes, and processing improvements/simplification.
  • Provide technical support to customers, interacting with 3rd parties to ensure up-to-date ingredients, technologies, and future legislation/guidelines are employed in new developments.

Candidate Profile

  • Graduate or equivalent in Food Technology/Food Science or related subject.
  • Relevant hands-on bench development experience in salad dressings, condiments, and sauces, or similar food environment.
  • Ability to think laterally and solve complex problems, with proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Project & team management skills, prioritization, flexibility, teamwork, and ability to confidently assume a customer-facing role.
  • Articulate, confident communicator with effective persuasion and influencing skills.
