We are seeking a skilled Transport Planning Specialist to join our team at Streamline Search in Tonbridge, Kent. The ideal candidate will have experience in transport planning, particularly with refrigerated transport for Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Develop and implement transport schedules for both collections and deliveries, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods.
  • Book container collection and deliveries, as well as Lidl collections from suppliers to RDCs.
  • Utilise Excel or Google Spreadsheets to manually plan routes, assign loads, and manage driver schedules.
  • Coordinate and plan refrigerated transport, ensuring the integrity of temperature-sensitive deliveries.
  • Work on a rotating shift basis, alternating between early and late shifts.
  • Be available every other weekend for a few hours on Saturday and all day Sunday.
  • Ensure all transport activities comply with legal, safety, and company regulations.
  • Plan all local collections back to the depot.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in transport planning, particularly with refrigerated transport for Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles.
  • Previous experience in planning for a fleet size of 30-50.
  • Strong skills in manual planning using Excel or Google Spreadsheets.
  • Willingness and ability to work a rotating shift pattern.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £42,000 per annum, plus benefits including 28 days holiday, company pension, and onsite parking.
