Emergency Medicine Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Emergency Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in Emergency Medicine, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including junior doctors, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure the smooth operation of the Emergency Department.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and reduce waiting times.
- Contribute to the development of our Emergency Department, including the design and implementation of new services and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in educational and training activities to maintain and develop your skills and knowledge.
- Full GMC Registration.
- MB ChB or equivalent.
- Entry on the Specialist Register in Emergency Medicine, or that at time of interview the applicant can produce evidence that he/she is within six months of CCT date and is expected to achieve CCT.
- ALS, ATLS, APLS provider.
- MRCP or equivalent additional higher qualification.
- Experience as a locum Consultant experience or acting up MD MSc.
- Instructor status in Advanced Life Support Courses, MIMMS provider.
- Experience in Acute Medicine and/or other acute speciality.
- Management/Leadership development course or qualification.
- Quality improvement training.
