About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Back Office Management Professional to join our team in central London. As an Accounting Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the back-office operations, managing company work flows, resource planning, customer service, recruitment, reporting, compliance, and practice assurance.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Performance & Growth
    • Develop and implement resourcing plans to meet financial and growth targets.
    • Oversee internal finance activities, including budget management, expense approvals, debtor and creditor management, and timely financial reporting.
    • Monitor financial KPIs and track the performance of Account Managers and Accountants using the 90-day sprint plan.
    • Maintain and enhance company performance dashboards.
    • Promote a culture of accountability within the accounting team.
    • Partner with HR and the Leadership Team to manage recruitment, on boarding, and the school leaver program.
    • Coordinate staff training, manage individual development plans, and establish an account manager training process.
  • Operations & Systems Management
    • Continuously research and implement effective systems and software for process management and client interaction.
    • Lead the implementation of new systems to ensure the firm maintains best-in-class internal systems.
    • Manage and enhance company systems and compliance requirements, including the Practice Assurance Manual.
    • Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S)
    • Adhere to EH&S policies and applicable regulations.
    • Assess risks in work activities, implement corrective actions, and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
    • Participate in EH&S training and take personal responsibility for safety.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an operational role within an accounting practice, preferably in a mid-tier firm.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
