Mobile Learning Instructor
Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Outdoor Education Instructor to join our team at Institute for Outdoor Learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outdoor educational activities to children and young people across various locations.
About the RoleThe Mobile Learning Instructor will work with schools, children's homes, and other organizations to provide engaging and interactive learning experiences. This will involve developing and delivering programs that meet the needs of participants and promoting personal growth and development.
You will have the opportunity to work in different settings and develop your skills in program delivery, staff management, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities- To deliver high-quality outdoor educational programs that meet the needs of participants and promote personal growth and development.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and implement new initiatives and services.
- To contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to outdoor education and risk management.
- To participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance knowledge and skills in outdoor education and leadership.
To be considered for this role, you must hold at least one of the following qualifications:
- RCI or CWI or other relevant ropes-based qualification
- ML or HML Award or equivalent
- Mountain Bike Leader/instructor or equivalent
- Paddle UK Instructor / Coach or equivalent
- RYA instructor or equivalent
- DofE Assessor
- Archery GB Instructor award
- Valid First Aid Qualification
In addition, you must have experience of working with children and young people in an outdoor education setting, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
BenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary, ranging from £24,960 to £28,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. You will also receive a company pension scheme, 33 days paid annual leave (25 days + Bank Holidays), and access to equipment and social events.
