Adoption Social Worker

Barnardo's is seeking a qualified and registered Social Worker to join its expanding Service covering work predominantly in the South West. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, and approving adoptive families to meet the needs of waiting children.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit and assess adoptive families to meet the needs of waiting children
- Match the needs of children with the skills of appropriate adopters
- Provide excellent training, guidance, and support to adopters, including managing staying in touch arrangements with birth families
- Work directly with adoptive families to promote a trauma-informed approach and help build and maintain family relationships
- Contribute to Barnardo's commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Qualified and registered Social Worker
- Full current driving license and use of a car with business use insurance
- Ability to participate in an out-of-hours helpline rota
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, with occasional overnight stays
- 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing after 5 years' service
