Government Liaison Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Government Liaison Specialist to join our External Affairs Team at Hanson Search. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and ambitious individual to make a real impact in the public sector.
Job Description:In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders in government departments, attending conferences and meetings with MPs, and undertaking ad hoc research and project work to support the team and company strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the political climate, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think strategically. You will be working closely with our team to identify opportunities, challenge, and risk for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Building relationships with government departments responsible for key agendas
- Attending conferences and meetings with MPs
- Undertaking ad hoc research and project work to support the team and company strategy
- Experience in a government relations, policy, or public affairs environment
- Proven experience of engaging through the policy processes
- Outstanding writing skills
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
