About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Spectrum IT Recruitment Limited. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out infrastructure improvement projects to enhance the performance and reliability of our IT systems.
  • Provide regular feedback on project progress using IT project management tools.
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure and Security Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Regularly test and deploy system patches to ensure compliance with our patching policy.
  • Perform server upgrades and network changes to meet company security and compliance standards.
  • Support all aspects of IT technology, from end-user computing to backend IT architectures.
  • Be available out of hours for fault fixes and resolution in extreme circumstances.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the team, line manager, and internal customers through regular communication.
  • Ensure that company systems are maintained, checked, and reported upon, and proactively highlight areas for improvement.
  • Document all work performed and ensure that IT procedures are maintained.
Requirements
  • Competent IT user with experience in using standard Microsoft office tools.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows Server technologies and Linux systems.
  • Understanding and support of VMWare vSphere, network equipment, and routing and switching.
  • Ability to pick up new technologies and participate in the planning of software and hardware upgrades.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
