About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Spectrum IT Recruitment. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement infrastructure improvement projects to enhance our company's IT systems.
  • Provide regular feedback on project progress using IT project management tools.
  • Test and deploy system patches to ensure compliance with our company's patching policy.
  • Perform server upgrades and network changes to meet our company's security and compliance standards.
  • Support all aspects of IT technology, from end-user computing to backend IT architectures.
  • Be available out of hours for fault fixes and resolution in extreme circumstances.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with your team, line manager, and internal customers.
  • Ensure that company systems are maintained, checked, and reported upon.
  • Document all work performed and ensure that IT procedures are maintained.
Requirements
  • Competent IT user with experience in using standard Microsoft office tools.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows Server technologies and Linux systems.
  • Understanding and support of VMWare vSphere.
  • Understanding and support of network equipment at both hardware and configuration level.
  • Ability to pick up new technologies and be involved in the planning of software and hardware upgrades.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
