Ipswich School is seeking an experienced Sport Development Leader to join our team. As a key member of the Sports Department, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of sports at our school.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong track record in leading and developing school sports. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to inspire and motivate students, as well as develop and implement effective strategies to improve sports participation and achievement.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with staff, students, and external partners. They will also have a deep understanding of the importance of sports in education and be able to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the school's sports strategy, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance sports provision.
  • Developing and delivering coaching and training programs for staff and students, to ensure high-quality teaching and learning in sports.
  • Building relationships with external partners, such as local sports clubs and organizations, to enhance sports opportunities for our students.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Sports Department to ensure effective communication and coordination of sports activities.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, free lunch during term time, and use of the school's swimming pool and fitness gym.
