With multiple sites in central Ipswich, our boarding houses are located on Constitution Hill and Anglesea Heights, while our sports facilities are based on Henley Road and at Rushmere St Andrew.

The Sports Department

Sport at Ipswich School is delivered by a team of specialist coaches and full-time teaching staff who share their passion and enthusiasm for sport with pupils. The Director of Sport provides guidance to Heads of Sport, ensuring a wide and varied programme that caters to diverse interests and abilities.

This role provides essential administrative support to the Director of Sport and Heads of Sport, serving as an important point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and the wider school community.

Job Responsibilities
  • Effective administrative support to the Director of Sport and Heads of Sport
  • Key point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and the wider school community
  • Reporting to the Deputy Head Academic regarding clubs and activities, including House of Fun and Sports camps
Requirements
  1. Competent user of ICT, particularly Google and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Google Docs/Forms)
  2. Good keyboard and database skills; knowledge of SOCS, iSAMs, and other school database software is beneficial
  3. High-level administrative skills, with excellent numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail
  4. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a good telephone manner
  6. Flexible and reliable, with a 'can-do' approach
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  8. Capable of working under pressure

This permanent position comes with a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including:
