- Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries.
- Conduct research and undertake comprehensive planning appraisals.
- Write high-quality reports with clear recommendations.
- Provide guidance to engineers and architects on planning submissions.
- Prepare fee proposals to generate new business.
- Review Local Planning Authority (LPA) Local Plans and their stage of production.
- Manage community engagement committee meetings and public examinations.
- Communicate with stakeholders and negotiate positive outcomes for clients.
An RTPI-accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline is required.
Preferably a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute or working towards it.
Ideally at least two years post-qualification experience in a relevant role.
At least two years working in the planning industry in either the public or private sectors.
