About the Role
  • Develop and execute chemistry development programs to meet cost, quality, and time demands
  • Lead cross-functional teams on process development projects, focusing on late-stage development, technology transfer, and manufacturing support for clients
  • Collaborate with clients at technical meetings and compile project updates and reports to convey results

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement efficient process development workflows to maximize efficiency
  2. Liaise with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions
  3. Lead by example, promoting technical excellence and supporting team members' personal and professional development
  4. Advocate for opportunities that align with CatSci's objectives and create value for clients
  5. Ensure team resources, skill sets, and capabilities meet current client needs and plan for future requirements
  6. Recruit and induct new team members according to CatSci's policies and strategies
Requirements:
  • PhD in Chemistry (or related field) with industrial experience in process development or equivalent qualifications and experience
  • Detailed understanding of organic synthesis and process development, including practical techniques
  • Experience with technology transfer of chemical processes to manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of API manufacture and CMC topics, including cGMP manufacturing, analytical requirements, and regulatory approaches
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with proven ability to organize technical development across multiple projects

What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience
