About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Peer Support Volunteer. As a Peer Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are experiencing mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to service users, helping them to navigate the challenges of mental health conditions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
  • Engage in telephone calls to support service users and provide information about our services.
  • Help to facilitate online group sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment for participants.
  • Welcoming and supporting individuals who are anxious or hesitant about accessing our services.
  • Assisting with the setup and facilitation of online groups.

Requirements:

  • Personal experience of mental health issues, enabling you to provide authentic and empathetic support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with service users.
  • Reliability and punctuality, ensuring that you can commit to regular volunteering sessions.
