We are seeking an exceptional Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Hamilton Mayday in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the running of the kitchen and service, while also contributing to the creation of innovative menus and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for food and customer service, with experience in B&I catering or restaurants and a solid understanding of food trends and concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Contribute to the development of creative and high-quality menu offerings that meet the needs of our discerning clients.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including paperwork, ordering, and stock control.

Requirements

  • A proven track record as a Sous Chef in a B&I catering or restaurant environment, with a strong focus on customer service and food quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with external stakeholders.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of food trends and concepts, with the ability to adapt and innovate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude, with a willingness to work varied hours and contribute to the success of the business.
