We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Visitor to join our team at Nottingham CityCare Partnership CIC. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and families in our community.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme, working in partnership with families, and other healthcare professionals to promote the health and wellbeing of children and families. You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing health inequalities, and developing and implementing health promotion activities to improve the health and wellbeing of children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme, working in partnership with families and other healthcare professionals.
  • Identify and address health inequalities, and develop and implement health promotion activities to improve the health and wellbeing of children and families.
  • Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, midwives, and social care professionals, to promote the health and wellbeing of children and families.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, and provide support and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify the health and wellbeing needs of children and families, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies, including education and social care, to promote the health and wellbeing of children and families.
  • Develop and implement health promotion activities, including workshops, groups, and one-to-one sessions, to promote the health and wellbeing of children and families.
  • Conduct audits and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of health promotion activities, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) or due to qualify as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) in 2024.
  • Experience of working with children, families, and young people, and experience of working in partnership with other healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work in a culturally sensitive and inclusive manner, and to promote the health and wellbeing of children and families from diverse backgrounds.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a starting salary of mid-point band 6 for all staff who are newly qualified or have qualified within the last three years. Salary can also be negotiated depending on experience and current rate of pay and we honour agenda for change Terms and Conditions.
