Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently.
About the Role- Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks to maintain equipment and machinery
- Work as part of a team of two on a mix of mechanical and electrical repairs
- Maintain Filling Machines, Wrapping Machines, Inverters, Labelling Machines, Robotics, Pneumatic Systems, Conveyors, Motors, PLCs, Gearboxes, Valves, Pumps etc.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Perform MIG welding tasks
- Aim to maximise performance and reduce production downtime
- Monitor malfunctioning equipment and report to site management
- Carry out machinery installations and facilities maintenance
- At least 12 months' experience in mechanical engineering
- Experience from a production/ manufacturing/ industrial environment preferred
- Welding experience is essential
- Ability to read engineering drawings and instructions
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Understanding of Health & Safety
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Competitive salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
