Job Title: Building Operations Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Operations Officer to join our team at RD Building Contractors Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • On-site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day construction activities, drive productivity through effective planning and allocation of tasks, and manage the performance of operatives.
  • Resource & Workload Planning: Effectively plan and allocate resources to ensure workload is completed on time and to a high standard. Monitor progress, adjust schedules as needed, and optimise productivity.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted safely, adhering to Health & Safety protocols, conduct and review risk assessments, and lead toolbox talks to ensure safety awareness among the workforce.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure that work meets high standards. Ensure the timely delivery of works in line with contract requirements.
  • Client & Customer Engagement: Maintain good communication and build relationships with clients and customers. Address any concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Administration & Reporting: Maintain documented records of all processes, ensuring compliance with company procedures. Oversee In-House systems to provide regular reports on performance metrics, including progress on Health & Safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements:
  • IT competent
  • Have a clean, full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction operations, and a good grasp of health and safety standards.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferable
  • Knowledge of SOR codes
  • Have experience of overseeing a team of operatives within planned maintenance and reactive works (Local Authority/Social Housing sector including occupied homes and voids a distinct advantage.)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
