Job Summary:

The Relationship Director is responsible for securing property bridging lending opportunities for the company. This involves developing and utilizing professional networks to identify potential lending opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and develop commercial bridging lending opportunities in line with the company's lending policy and interest rate banding.
  2. Progress lending opportunities through the business to deal completion, ongoing monitoring, and successful exit.
  3. Instruct solicitors and valuers, with the support of Loan Managers, following established procedures and agreeing fixed price agreements and timescales with professional advisors.
  4. Coordinate the progress of each transaction throughout its lifecycle with the company.
  5. Develop the credit paper and Executive Summary for presentation to the Board of Directors, illustrating the risks and merits of each transaction.
  6. Monitor clients and loans to reduce lending risk by identifying early signs of distress.
  7. Ensure customers adhere to conditions subsequent as set out in loan agreements.
  8. Follow company practices and procedures.
  9. Help customers source exit finance.
  10. Develop and agree marketing strategies with the Board of Directors to support new lending opportunities.
  11. Arrange and host client hospitality days and other opportunities to maintain engagement with clients.
  12. Present opportunities to the Board of Directors and progress through the business following established lending procedures.
  13. Visit clients, brokers, land agents, and advisers to develop professional relationships and receive bridging lending opportunities.
