Job Summary
Staying Close
Staying Close is a programme that aims to improve outcomes for young people transitioning from various settings, including residential care. It addresses the 'cliff edge' faced by care leavers by providing move-on accommodation and a package of practical and emotional support.
These bespoke packages help develop confidence and skills for independent living, and emotional health and wellbeing. Key desired outcomes include improving access to education, training, and employment, increasing suitable accommodation, and decreasing risk of homelessness.
Main Duties
Provide a high-quality specialist therapy service to professionals working within Staying Close. Offer consultation and support to team members across Staying Close who deliver assessments, care, and interventions.
Provide training to staff in Children's social care on the Ambit model. Offer supervision to staff within Staying Close using the Ambit model as an overarching framework.

Job Responsibilities
Utilise research skills for audit and contribute to research and training within the areas served by the teams and service. Be involved in the development of this service as appropriate.
Be involved in providing information to support meeting the teams' Key Performance Indicators. Be involved in the monthly Staying Close project group meetings with colleagues at Wiltshire Council.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered RMN, OT, Social Worker, or Psychological Therapist
Desirable
- PhD level, Non-medical prescribing qualification

- Experience/skills of working with young people known to Children's social care and presenting with complex needs
