IT Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Systems Analyst to join our team at Tech 4. As a key member of our software development lifecycle, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining and supporting software systems and applications.
Collaborating with stakeholders, users and technology teams, you will deliver change and improve the efficiency and reliability of our application estate. Your expertise will ensure that our software applications meet user requirements and are well-integrated with existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and clarify user requirements with business analysts and stakeholders.
- Create technical specification documents detailing new software applications and iterations to existing systems.
- Design and map integrations between applications, ensuring seamless communication.
- Work closely with development and test teams to create efficient software applications.
- Provide technical support and training to users, empowering them to get the most out of our systems.
- Participate in regular training and learning activities to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Mentor team members to improve standards and best practices.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, identifying solutions to complex technical issues.
- Have a solid understanding of databases, data models, and schemas, as well as proficiency in SQL and data exchange formats.
- Be proficient in APIs, message queues, and service bus technologies, applying this knowledge to develop innovative software applications.
- Develop clear user stories and contribute to solution design, considering non-functional aspects.
- Possess strong MS Office skills, effectively using tools to communicate ideas and collaborate with teams.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £52,000 per annum, along with an excellent benefits package. As a hybrid role, you will split your time between our Chorley office (2-3 days per week) and remote work, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.
