Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Second Chef to join our Hospitality team at Runwood Homes. As a Second Chef, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality food and hospitality services to our residents, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain effective stock rotation, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Deputize for the Head Chef as required, taking on additional responsibilities and contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Work collaboratively with the Hospitality team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive reputation for Runwood Homes.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a catering environment, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • NVQ 2 or City & Guilds Equivalent, with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
  • Food Hygiene level 2, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine interest in working within a caring environment, with a passion for delivering high-quality food and hospitality services.
