We are seeking an experienced Technical Network Service Lead to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our Network team, you will be responsible for maximizing the value of network technologies, including end-to-end enterprise connectivity and automation across various hosting and cloud environments.

About the Role:

As a Technical Network Service Lead, you will be accountable for identifying technical options and their advantages and disadvantages, and presenting to less technical audiences. You will also provide technical leadership in large and small project engagements, collaborating with internal stakeholders to define requirements and objectives, and ensuring that technology operations meet these requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep technical understanding and design experience in several areas, including SDWAN, SASE, LAN Switching, Wireless Networking, and Routing.
  • Broad vision of industry standards, recent technologies, and key market trends.
  • Experience in Network Automation, including tools and common scripting languages, with experience of both technical incident investigation and project governance/change control of planned activities.
  • Great understanding of packet level traffic analysis using tools such as Wireshark.
  • Experience of 3rd party supplier management, including excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and collaborate across teams to deliver successful outcomes.

  • Starting salary - London based £70,000, National based £60,000 (depending on Location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
