Workshop Operative

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Operative to join our team at Todd Hayes Ltd, a successful manufacturing business based in the Norwich area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a practical and detail-oriented individual to work in a dynamic workshop environment.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of engineering principles and be able to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist with the construction, production, and assembly of cases and affiliated products using a variety of hand tools or power tools, adhering to the company's defined practices and methods.
  • To fabricate and assemble sub-assemblies with sufficient lead time to enable others to complete more complex products as scheduled.
  • To liaise with the Workshop Manager to implement work schedules and ensure the timely completion of all sales orders.
  • To maintain a high standard of quality production and report any problems or potential problems to the Workshop Manager.
  • To train to be able to carry out a range of tasks within the workshop department.
  • To comply with all aspects of the Health and Safety procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • Good engineering aptitude and practical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality production.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.

Working Hours:

This role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with the possibility of variable hours due to seasonal variations.
