About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enabling Support Worker to join our team at Shaftesbury West. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in enabling adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities to live as independently as possible.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide person-centred support and encouragement, taking direction from both the individual and their support plan. You will maintain accurate records, administer personal care and medication as required, and have the opportunity to cover sleep-in sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support and encouragement to individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
  • Maintain accurate records and administer personal care and medication as required
  • Cover sleep-in sessions and provide support during these times
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to promote inclusion and wellbeing for all

Requirements:

  • Experience working with adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to provide person-centred support and encouragement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and administer personal care and medication
