About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Ide Lane Surgery in Exeter, Devon.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective systems for medicines optimisation, repeat prescribing, reducing medicine waste, and maximising patient outcomes.

You will work under the supervision of our clinical pharmacist, receiving ongoing training and development in practice-based prescribing and administration to support medication reviews and Quality and Outcomes Framework targets.

  • Support the delivery of safe and effective pharmacy services by accurately managing prescribed medications.
  • Undertake medicines reconciliation according to practice protocols and standard operating procedures to improve prescription efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engage with patients, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to address queries and concerns.
  • Verify the accuracy of prescribed medicines to ensure patient safety.
  • Offer guidance and information to patients, staff, and GPs on prescribing safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and appropriate medicine use.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised working environment, adhering to Health & Safety and Infection Control policies.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience, and a range of benefits, including:
