Children's Safeguarding Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Safeguarding Specialist to join our Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of allegations against adults working with children in our borough.
As the Local Authority Designated Officer, you will provide advice and guidance to employers and voluntary organisations, liaise with the police, children's social care, and other relevant agencies to ensure a thorough and fair process. You will also develop bespoke training and development programs for the children's workforce.

The successful candidate will have a social work qualification, at least four years post-qualifying experience in children's services, and experience of safeguarding. They will be skilled in interpreting and implementing legislation and guidance, and able to work confidently under pressure and to deadlines.
We offer a salary of £57,707 - £60,921, a monthly reflective supervision, 31 days annual leave, and a hybrid working arrangement. We are committed to supporting the continuing professional development of our staff, and offer an excellent learning and development program.
