Senior Subcontracts Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Subcontracts Manager to join our team at Innovate. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for providing support for routine and complex subcontract administration tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Creation and management of subcontracts in all aspects
- Assessment of specifications and drafting of RFQs and RFPs
- Assessment of subcontractor proposals and negotiation of subcontracts
- Creation and maintenance of subcontract documentation
- Performance monitoring and management of subcontractors
- Alignment of subcontract deliverables with supply chain demand planners
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external clients
- Supporting the updating of contractual agreements and departmental policies
- 8+ years of experience with cost-type and fixed-price subcontracts for complex items or research and development under federal government contracts
- Proven track record of creating contracts and commercial terms in an engineering setting
- Ability to assist bid teams with the flow down of terms and understanding and management of client commercial terms
- Experience working in the space and defence industries is beneficial
- Education in engineering or a related field in commercial or business management is advantageous
