About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Lindsay House, a 17-bed supported living service registered under CQC. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis to regain their confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to service users, promoting their autonomy and well-being.
  • Work closely with service users to identify and achieve their personal goals, and access all the support they need on their recovery journey.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
Requirements
  • Transferable life/work experience, with a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices.
  • Excellent listening and empathy skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with service users.
  • Alignment with the values of Rethink Mental Illness, including hope, understanding, expertise, equity, commitment, passion, and openness.
