Pertemps Redditch Commercial: Payroll Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in Redditch. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring all employees are paid correctly and treated confidentially.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the piecework system to ensure bonuses are calculated and paid accurately.
  2. Complete full week/month end processes on allocated payrolls.
  3. Ensure all changes are appropriately authorised in line with company policy and applied to the payroll system.
  4. Process sickness absences for allocated payrolls as advised by HR and ensure sickness is paid correctly.
  5. Ensure all Statutory Payments (SHPP, SMP, SPP, SSP, and SAP) are applied/paid correctly for all allocated payrolls.
  6. Maintain and update payroll records on the payroll system.
  7. Assist with the administration and uploading of required data for the group's pension schemes.
  8. Assist with the administration of P11ds ensuring all changes in company cars are submitted in real time along with all other updated benefits.
  9. Assist with full tax year end processes for all allocated payrolls.
  10. Provide full cover during periods of holiday and absence for all Payroll team members.
  11. Produce reports from systems used in Payroll & HR systems.
Requirements:
  1. Experienced, confidential, and organised payroll professional.
  2. IT literate with payroll systems experience and excellent Excel skills.
  3. Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of payroll and related matters.
  4. Flexible, hardworking, and honest individual who can work as part of a team.

In return, you can expect a competitive basic salary depending on your experience, between £28,000-£33,000.
