About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at The Myton Hospices. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Registered Nurses in delivering holistic nursing care to patients in their own homes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Assess and respond to patients' needs, providing emotional support and comfort measures as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with Myton Hospice policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide seamless care and support to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Two years' experience of hospice, hospital, or community nursing.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary team working and palliative care settings.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (either achieved, working towards, or willing to undertake).
  • Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
