We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to enhance their independence skills and pursue their interests. You will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment where you can make a real difference to the lives of the individuals we support.

We welcome applications from people who work in other areas of the care sector or those with no experience of care. Your previous experience is not as important as sharing our values and being able to demonstrate them.

  • Supporting individuals with activities such as swimming, biking, baking, and trips to the cinema.
  • Organising leisure activities for the individuals we support.
  • Assisting and monitoring individuals with their personal health and care needs.
  • Planning, purchasing, and preparing meals.
  • Providing a caring environment following specific procedures as detailed in their care plan, while maintaining respect and dignity.
  • Informing the manager of any significant developments and/or difficulties within the care setting.
Requirements
  • Good housekeeping skills including cooking, cleaning, and budget management.
  • A flexible approach to meeting individuals' needs.
  • Willingness to undertake personal care when required.
  • Willingness to complete in-house training and basic induction.

We offer a competitive salary of around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits to support your wellbeing, including flexible working options and a generous annual leave package.
