At Wessex Water, we are seeking a skilled Wastewater Compliance Specialist to join our team in the South West region of England and Wales.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional with excellent analytical and communication skills to support our Enforcement and Regulatory Flow team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical and analytical support by running and reviewing compliance reporting data, assisting with internal and external reporting, and maintaining up-to-date regulatory, audit, and performance records.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, experience working with flow monitoring equipment, and knowledge of environmental issues affecting our company. You will also need to be computer literate, have good communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Enforcement Officer with enforcement work as required
  • Support general administration tasks, such as preparing presentations, coordinating meetings, processing payments, and creating ad-hoc reports
  • Provide analytical support to the Flow Compliance Adviser, enabling the identification of trends in performance and compliance
  • Compile reports for all levels of the company
  • Collaborate with internal and external contacts to ensure compliance with statutory quality regulations
  • Plan and manage the MCERTS certification program, scheduling site inspections and ensuring proper storage of site survey and certification documents
  • Ensure SWIMS is maintained and kept up to date
  • Administer our Quality Management System
  • Review and update policies and procedures
  • Perform flow reporting tasks and flow meter verification visits
  • Liaise with engineering and operations teams on capital schemes
  • Contribute to the compliance audit program
What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including total pension contributions up to 20%, career progression opportunities, and a comprehensive health and wellbeing package.
